Preowned 2013, excellent
Plugged in, the sound is big, transparent, and wonderfully open, loaded with character. If you’re a Byrdland lover looking for another way to express yourself, look no further, because this one might be exactly right for you. The short scale makes intricate single-note patterns and stretched chord voicings feel natural, and it doesn’t leave you wanting for sustain, which is usually the first thing players ask about.
The arrival of a Yanuziello electric is always something I look forward to, and this short scale is even more exciting than usual. Joe’s guitars have a vibe all their own: efficient, friendly, and masterful. They never work against you, and this one takes that ethic further. A 22 1/2” scale paired with a sleek 40mm nut puts “easy to play” in a different category altogether. It’s as addicting to play as it is to behold, and that curly top cap and neck are worth a long look on their own. As always, the workmanship on this Yaz is of the highest level.

There’s something in this particular recipe that brings out the naturally organic quality of Joe’s work. Guitars with the “it” factor don’t come along often. This beauty is worth taking for a ride.

ABOUT YANUZIELLO INSTRUMENTS
It certainly doesn't take a genius to realize that guitar builder Joseph Yanuziello is the real deal. What's "the real deal" you say? When it comes to luthiers, it means someone who has built a meaningful full-time career over a long period of time, developed the craft/art/voodoo of instrument building to the highest level, carved out their own niche in an overcrowded sea of brand names, you know, the real deal! There is something about a Yanuziello that is both plain-and-simple and somehow luxurious at the same time. In fact, Yanuziello's background in design and wood/metal fabrication has served him well in producing what he would describe as "modern vintage instruments." His interest in many musical genres is reflected in the different electric and acoustic instruments he produces. "The challenge is to keep it fresh and new and a continuous learning experience...the players have a lot to do with this." - JY
