Preowned 1990, excellent condition

We are fortunate to offer a unique electric built by the legendary luthier Steve Klein. This ergonomic headless wonder — serial number 029 — was custom-made for virtuosic guitarist Matte Henderson in 1990. If you are familiar with Klein's electrics, you already know how fantastic these guitars are, especially the early ones like this.

CRAIG'S POV

I feel fortunate to offer a unique electric built by the legendary luthier Steve Klein. This ergonomic headless wonder — serial number 029 — was custom-made for my friend and virtuosic guitarist Matte Henderson in 1990. If you are familiar with Klein's electrics, you already know how fantastic these guitars are, especially the early ones like this. That's why, along with Matte, acclaimed musicians like Henry Kaiser, Bill Frisell, and David Torn recorded with one. It's a joy to play; I own one myself. I love it.

Check out what Matte Henderson has to say:

"My longtime compadre/big bruh David Torn introduced me to Steve Klein in 1989. They had met at NAMM. This electric is the first guitar that Steve built for me. At that time, I was a big pre-CBS Strat fan, so some aesthetics, specifically sea foam green and multiple tortoiseshell pickguard, found their way over. Like everyone else at that time, I was an EMG guy. I sourced the machined bridge from my friends at Steinberger (a vastly superior bridge to the later cast versions). I had just dipped my toe into the scalloped board pool, which is reflected in the last few frets. It is a spectacular instrument from a spectacular human and builder."

If you'd like to find out more about this item, just call or e-mail me. It would be my pleasure to talk to you about it.
