Straight out of the collection, this very cool 2020 Tao T-Bucket is in near-mint condition with virtually no signs of playing wear.
The idea behind the T-Bucket model was to create a design that, while rooted in tradition, is at the same time grounded in the present day. The first thought was to pay tribute to Leo Fender, who changed the face of music 60 years ago with the timeless designs we all know. Leo has always been a role model to follow, always moving forward to make his electric guitar more comfortable for the working musician and with a a relentless quest to find new solutions to improve his original designs. The luthiers at Tao Guitars try to follow in his steps and design what could be the Telecaster for the 21st century. Their desire is also to bring to the game some Gibson pedigree for a more multifaceted tonal palette. The special humbucker pickups provide spanky vintage clean sounds but also deliver the goods with cranked rocking overdrive tones.
This custom guitar was built using the Tao brothers' relentless attention to detail. Its inspired design speaks for itself. Its glorious neck profile, with its 1 11/16" nut width and 12" radius seems to marry what I like about Fenders and Gibsons. The fit, exquisite finish, and inspired design draw me in and are spot on. The humbuckers are made by Benedetti (not Benedetto), a legendary French designer. The sound is incredibly woody and wooly with spank and sparkle that lies somewhere between a single coil and humbucker. It's infectious, versatile, and very usable. So many other unique details about this guitar come to mind; it takes an entire conversation to convey them all. It's a very cool guitar, and I'd I would love to tell you more about it.

ABOUT TAO GUITARS
Tao Guitars' hot rod inspired creations represent a crucial contribution to the modern guitar building art form. First & foremost, all Tao Guitars instruments are fully hand made from wood cutting & shaving to finishes, sanding & polishing, everything is done the old way using rasps, scrappers, chisels & sweat which make each piece unique due to the somewhat random aspect of the real by-hand work. Tao Guitars approaches every project as unique. That's why they don't make guitars in series or batches. Every instrument has its own character, its own body contour or neck shape, custom color & hardware. The sum of all these little details is instruments that sound clear, articulate, harmonically rich, heavenly sustaining, with a big bold jaw dropping tone DNA. Tao Guitars only builds one-off masterpieces!
