Roger Sadowsky's Jim Hall is the result of a close working relationship Roger had with the jazz maestro. This signature model was inspired by Jim Hall's treasured D'Aquisto and is the result of a close collaboration. It's important to know that the result is a guitar Jim wanted to play - not just a model he'd endorse. The result is a classic jazz guitar that can stand alongside any laminate archtop guitar made today.
Roger Sadowsky's Jim Hall is the result of a close working relationship Roger had with the jazz maestro. (Roger maintained Jim's guitars for over 40 years). This signature model was inspired by Jim Hall's treasured D'Aquisto and is the result of a close collaboration. It's important to know that the result is a guitar Jim wanted to play - not just a model he'd endorse.
After several prototypes, Roger refined the Jim Hall guitar by reducing the top and back thickness to provide a more acoustic response. He reduced the depth of the body to help control feedback, designed a new ebony tailpiece with a string ground, and painstakingly shaped the neck until it felt right to Jim.
The result is a classic jazz guitar that I believe can stand alongside any laminate archtop guitar made today. It is a guitar that speaks perfection in every way, from the fit and finish to its selection of woods to its wonderful liquid jazz tones. It is a guitar designed for the working musician. Yet, it is worthy of being in an elite guitar collection. It's a brilliant guitar designed by an exceptional builder for the one and only Jim Hall.

ABOUT SADOWSKY GUITARS
Mention the name Roger Sadowsky to your average guitar player, and you'll likely elicit a "Roger Who?" But that name is spoken in almost reverent tones amongst working musicians. Sadowsky has built this reputation by giving the modern guitarist and bassist what he needs--a no-nonsense, versatile, and reliable electric guitar that performs great and sounds better. Of course, these are claims made by every guitar company in existence; but Sadowsky Guitars is one of the very few companies that can actually back it up. Sadowsky Guitars is based in Long Island City, in Queens New York where founder Roger Sadowsky built the business from the ground up in 1979, after 7 years of guitar luthier training. Today, the Sadowsky company has around 10 employees and caters to guitarists such as; Walter Becker, Jim Hall, Chuck Loeb, Russell Malone, Jimmy Bruno, and Lee Ritenour.
