Preowned, excellent condition

The McKay '64 Cherry Block Mark 335 is a recreation of the classic semi-hollow guitar built with deep attention and skill to maintain all the magic and mojo of that golden era of guitar building. Ken McKay puts love and Lutherie into each one of his extraordinary creations. The guitar's construction is as it should be for a '60s era semi; maple laminates on the top and back with a center block of Michigan maple.

CRAIG'S POV

The McKay '64 Cherry Block Mark 335 is a recreation of the classic semi-hollow guitar built with deep attention and skill to maintain all the magic and mojo of that golden era of guitar building. Ken McKay puts love and Lutherie into each one of his extraordinary creations.

The guitar's construction is as it should be for a '60s era semi; maple laminates on the top and back with a center block of Michigan maple. The binding, f-holes, MOP block inlays, and old-growth Brazilian rosewood fingerboard are all on point. Every aspect of this build is crafted with enormous respect for its vintage heritage; neck profile, cherry finish, and scale length; all ring true to me. If you ever played a Clapton Era semi, this '64 McKay will twist your mind.

Note: This is an earlier version of Ken's model before he changed a few details to accommodate the folks from Kalamazoo. Additional photos are available.
