Ibanez JSM20TH John Scofield Signature, 2021

I have always been a fan of Ibanez's semi-hollow guitars. Having been an Ibanez endorser in the '80s, I was fortunate to play the first AS200 semis at Ibanez's USA office.

The JSM20TH John Scofield Signature semi-hollow body from Ibanez celebrates the 20th anniversary of the first John Scofield Signature model. Based on Scofield's original JSM model, this semi-hollow JSM20TH celebrates the pair's partnership in style with a series of sleek finishes and appointments. Only 30 of the JSM20TH were built, each featuring a maple body with a set-in African mahogany neck, an ebony fretboard with a Prestige fret edge treatment, and a 24.7" scale length. The JSM20TH also features a half-bone/half-brass nut, and Scofield's name etched into the truss rod cover.

I was impressed then; I'm impressed now. This Limited Edition JSM Anniversary is one impeccably built and well-thought-out guitar, an instrument worthy of the hands of John "Sco" Scofield.
