The designers and technicians at Creek Guitars studied the build of a 1957 J-45 in great detail to create the CJFG 1957 model. The carefully chosen Sitka spruce tops and braces are torrefied to Creek specifications to reproduce that aged vintage sound and feel. The sunburst finish was carefully applied and aged to enhance that true vintage mojo. The vintage resonance, the crystalline trebles, and rich bass come alive under Creek's watchful eye.

Body
The torrified Sitka spruce top was chosen to help deliver that vintage tone and feel. The sides and back are crafted with mahogany and the Jacaranda rectangle bridge, long saddle, large celluloid pickguard, and single ring rosette are familiar to anyone who appreciates fine vintage instruments. The vintage sunburst finish is meticulously applied and aged by Creek's skilled artisans to recreate a fine vintage guitar look, feel, and sound.

Neck
The one-piece mahogany neck with beautiful dark color jacaranda fingerboard is brought to life with era-appropriate pearl dot inlays and white side dots. Pre-war Kluson style 3/plate tuners enhance that golden age esthetic.

Finish
All Creek guitars are aged one at a time by skilled artisans who have a deep knowledge of vintage guitars. Their meticulous attention to detail enhances every aspect of the final product. The realistic checking and vintage-like wear add to the guitar's visual appeal. At Creek Guitars, the deep dive is favored in the aging process. Creek guitars are aged not only for looks but, more importantly, for sound. The layers of the finish paint are monitored to achieve the proper stiffness that, in the end, will produce an honest vintage tone.

CRAIG'S POV

I have said many times before that we live in a golden age of lutherie. For proof, look no further than these splendid new Creek acoustic guitars from Japan. When I first played these guitars, I wasn't prepared for how wonderful they were. And I'm not the only one; every pro that has had an opportunity to play one in the shop has been equally impressed. Even luthiers who have seen them have been impressed. Inspired by the legendary classic fretted instruments of the '40s and '50s, Creek has created some of the finest vintage style guitars I've ever played – without the stratospheric prices. They are light in weight, beautifully finished, and artfully aged by Japan's finest luthiers. The sound is pure and authentic. So much care, attention, and passion have gone into building Creek's lineup of guitars, and it shows in the final result. They're essentially Brand New Vintage Guitars that will inspire the music within you.
