If you are a fan of the '50s Fender Champ, Mitch Colby's Lil' Darlin is an amp that should be on your radar. Truth is, it does everything a vintage Champ does, but at an elevated level of tone and usability. It's perfect for practice, recording or any situation where clean living room volume is desired. But make no mistake, turn up the volume and this little beast roars with a great harmonically satisfying, honest and complex breakup.

SMALL BUT SATISFYING
The hand wired Lil' Darlin is based on the highly sought-after and ubiquitous 1950s three tube, single 6V6, 8' speaker Fender Champ but takes it to a new level of tone and usability. By using classic build quality, high quality parts with strategic circuit modifications plus a high quality Weber alnico magnet speaker, the Lil' Darlin offers great clean sounds and great class A overdrive at living room levels. The Lil' Darlin has been carefully fine tuned so that it has many "sweets spots" while only using a single Volume control.

IT'S ALL IN THE DETAILS
The Lil' Darlin features 5E1 class A circuit with Colby mods, cathode biased 6V6, NOS Allen Bradley carbon comp resistors, Mallory signal caps, TAD filter caps, Sprague bypass caps, US built transformers, Weber alnico magnet Blue Pup speaker and meticulous hand wiring. As with all Colby and Park amplifiers, the Lil' Darlin is hand-built in NYC by Mitch Colby.

IT'S ALL ABOUT THE TONE AND FEEL
As soon as you plug in and play those first notes, you know if you have a connection with your guitar and amp. Mitch Colby guarantees you'll make that connection with the Lil' Darlin. It is destined to become your favorite little amp.

ABOUT COLBY AMPS
From 1978 through 2010 Mitch Colby worked for one of the most prominent companies in the music industry, Korg USA, distributors of Marshall and Vox amps (Colby served as chief marketing officer). Mitch was involved with Marshall for his entire 32 year career at Korg, and along with an international team of dedicated people, helped bring VOX back from an almost dormant state to become once again one of the leading amp companies. Mitch’s continual fascination with guitar amps led him to repair, restore and collect many rare and vintage amplifiers. In fact, he has had the good fortune to restore the largest collection of vintage guitar amps in the world! Over the last 40 years, Mitch always wanted to do it his way, but being a part of a larger team always led to compromise. Now that he has total control, as the owner of Colby Amps, he is building the amps he always dreamed of, the amps he would like to play, no matter how long they take to develop or how much they cost. These are amps that inspire you to play whether on stage, in the studio or at home. They will last a lifetime.
